Another year, another round of great tours – lead by people who love where they live and what they do and graciously share their enthusiasm with the rest of Los Angeles.
This year LA Commons heeded the message that one day was not enough, and so tour opportunities were available on either Saturday or Sunday, or both days in some cases. 265 Participants experienced such diverse encounters as walking the streets of Boyle Heights, Studio City, Van Nuys, Hollywood, University Park, the Downtown Arts District, West Adams and Skid Row, riding the bikeways of Ballona Creek, communing with the peace of Forest Lawn and Rosedale cemeteries, or hiking the Baldwin Hills trails in search of cows and Highland Park’s never built “bike freeway”, both from an earlier time in our history.
In all, there were 14 tours and 40 people helping to make those tours happen. Thank you everyone!
